Nike Basketball Camp Week 1: Recap

Nike Basketball Camp Week 1: Recap

Our first week of Nike Basketball this year was held at Cardinal Newman High School and went extremely well as we welcomed 57 boys. The kids had a great time playing the game and learning during the skill development sessions throughout the week.

The camp encompassed so many opportunities for our participants to get better especially in the 3on3 NIKE ELITE League. Each player competes nationally in our 3on3 Standings, plays in one 5on5 game and participates in our Living by Numbers contests each day.  Living by Numbers are individualized basketball drills each camper will complete.  The drills are Shooting, Ball Handling, Speed & Agility and Compilations.

At the end of the camp, 6 phenomenal athletes rose up the ranks to receive MVP and Coaches Award acknowledgments:

Congrats to our NBA division award recipients!
Evan Gebhard – MVP (ELITE Camp Invitee)
Noah Jacobs – Coaches Award (ELITE Camp Invitee)

Congrats to our College division award recipients!
Jordan Frazer – MVP (ELITE Camp Invitee)
Noah Allen – Coaches Award

Riley Snell  (ELITE Camp Invitee)

Congratulations to our High School division award recipients!
DeAngelo Brooks – MVP (ELITE Camp Invitee)
TJ Lewis – Coaches Award (ELITE Camp Invitee)

Our NIKE Basketball summer camp is a perfect way to prepare for your school, church, recreation or AAU league/season as they all receive a free Nike camp T-shirt, Nike camp certificate and a personalized evaluation from the Nike camp coaching staff.

We would like to thank our Nike Camp Director Jason Harman and his staff: Coach Shaun Gortman, Marcus Reese, Joe Mcceachern, Keturah Jackson, Corey Fishman, and Seth Fitzgerald for taking the time develop these young athletes as they’ve all played collegiate/professional hoops themselves.

Stay tuned for more updates on this summer series of NIKE Basketball Camps!
