Most 3D Hoops coaches have either played and/or coached at the collegiate level.

3D Hoops owner and founder, Jason Harman, has basketball experience that runs deep throughout the state of South Carolina.  After being an All-Region/All-Area performer at Lexington High School and helping lead the Lexington Wildcats to a 4-A State Championship, Jason went on to play four years of NCAA College Basketball at USC-Aiken, where he was Co-Captain of the 2000-2001 Pacer squad.  It’s worth noting that during his high school and college playing career Coach Harman competed against several NBA stars, including the LA Lakers star guard Kobe Bryant.  More importantly, as a collegiate senior Jason was selected to receive USC Aiken’s top athletic honor for success on and off the court, the 2001 USCA Student Athlete Leadership Award.  Jason later furthered his education by obtaining his Master’s Degree from Clemson University.  He and his wife Christina have 2 young daughters, McElson and Madison, and a son, Jase.

Over the past 12 years, Jason has dedicated himself to developing student-athletes across SC to become outstanding fundamental student-athletes on and off the court as he has helped lead many players to successful high school, college, and even professional basketball careers.  After seeing rapid growth in the number of basketball players attending his organized clinics on a limited basis, Coach Harman realized he had created enough demand throughout the midlands area to operate a full-scale basketball business.  In the summer of 2010, Jason founded 3D Hoops Academy, and he now owns and manages the company full-time right here in the greater Columbia area of SC.

The academy, which is now only a division of 3D Hoops, features an NCAA approved coaching staff, including individual and small group basketball training sessions.  Player training focuses on comprehensive basketball techniques, such as shooting, ball handling, and defensive positioning that are used by college and pro basketball teams across the country.

3D Hoops also has an event management division, 3D Productions, that specializes in event management in the areas of directing elite basketball tournaments, hosting major showcase events for college basketball prospects, and offering premier basketball camp opportunities.

The third division of 3D Hoops, 3D Basketball, includes developmental leagues and our player development focused Club Basketball Program.  Coach Harman’s staff has now worked with hundreds of kids over the years and has also coached many AAU teams to a championship level.

Most importantly, 3D Hoops also believes strongly in using basketball as a Christian ministry.  Sports are considered to be a great way to teach young people about Jesus Christ, and Coach Harman is extremely grateful that God has used his basketball expertise over the years as an outreach tool to the surrounding communities.  The Christian faith is truly an important element of learning the 3 D’s of desire, disciple, and dynamic on and off the court.  3D Hoops organizes basketball clinics for church basketball leagues such as Upward across the area, and is partnering with many of these types of programs to run Christ-centered high level basketball camps for churches across the state.
